In depth

Verdict

Bellgrove is in the veteran stage now but he could figure if fully wound up as he’ll handle conditions. Backintheboom is also a possibility if getting a run from his reserve spot but ESPION DU CHENET has already won twice this season and Louise Lyons’ seven-year-old didn’t do a lot wrong at Cork last time. Jack Holiday won at Tipperary in October but hasn’t been seen since and is 6lb higher. Western Boy, who had every chance when unseating his rider at Clonmel last month, looks best of the rest with Rachael Blackmore taking over the reins
