In depth

Verdict

Mighty Fine is a really likeable, consistent old stick and he can enjoy another success here, with Desert Nova, Air Guitar and Seymour Weld also considered. The selection is well into the veteran class but that does not stop him winning, as evidenced by success at Sedgefield, Wetherby and Market Rasen already in the spring. He is capable of this mark and relishes this trip and while he is in such good form he should be followed. Desert Nova took a close hand on soft ground at Hexham last time and juice would help his cause again, while Air Guitar has won over this trip, but consistency is not his strong point and after a decent run last time who knows what will happen today. Of the others Seymour Weld was a seller winner over c&d last time but on a form line through Gollinger he has plenty to find with our choice here, Mighty Fine.
