Verdict

This is the second division of the three mile novice hurdle race and hopefully ABERDALE can go in ahead of Pairc Na Gcapall and Just Jennings. The selection hails from the Jonjo O'Neill yard who has plenty of winners here. Richie Mcleron takes a further three lbs off his back which will help balance the penalty he picked up for his last easy win. He hacked up at Southwell four weeks ago but this looks tougher. However, he looks to be improving and should go well. Pairc Na Gcapall will pose the biggest threat to the selection and truth be told we don't think there will be much in it. The Neil King horse is a very good chaser holding a rating of 116 at the moment. He was once rated a 131 and if he ran to that mark he would be taking this event. The only concern is how he will jump being reverted to hurdles but he will stay every inch of this trip when most have cried enough. Just Jennings has been running well over inadequate trips and she could improve vastly going over today's three miles. She could sneak a place at a nice price. Ballyoliver is the most interesting horse in the race as the son of Kayf Tara cost £85,000. He must be monitored in the betting but the O'Neill horse just gets the nod over Pairc Na Gcapall.
