A wide open contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Giovanna, Green 'n' Gold and Allaboveboard and the tentative vote is given to Giovanna. The selection was going well until falling in a race won by Navado last time out, that form looks rock solid in the context of this race and off the same mark he looks the one to be on. Green'n' Gold rates the main danger as he has won his last two races in good style notably when beating Blackies All with a littler in hand. However he has shot up in the weights and that may just find him out. Allaboveboard is another worthy of respect on his latest third behind Sultan Fontenaille but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Dunguaire Lady won well last time when beating Green Finger and is another with place claims but all his best form is with more cut in the ground and he is opposed on that basis. Lilac would have won last time but for making a mistake two out when just beaten by Miss Slippy but she has risen in the weights for that effort and is passed over for that reason. Of the remainder Smilingvalentine has improved with each run and is another with place claims but in a race where the market will be very informative for the winner we return to Giovanna
