Verdict

A competitive novices hurdle gets proceedings underway and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Gone Tomorrow, The Sliotar, Gallant Hero and Letvitski with the tentative vote going to the last named. The selection won well last time out when beating Depraux with plenty in hand. Granted he has a penalty for that win but he has plenty of scope for improvement and he is taken to win again. Gone Tomorrow rates the main danger on his latest second behind Working Title in a bumper. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and under conditions that suit it would be no surprise if he were to go close. The Sliotar has shown promise in Ireland and starts in England in an easy race so he should be watched in the market. Gallant Hero won well last time out when beating Holiday Cocktail but this looks tougher and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Of the remainder Willie Pep hails from a yard in top form and is another with place claims but in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to Levitski.
