Verdict

Waldsee ran well when runner-up to newcomer All The Winds over 2m here last month but there's just a doubt that he'll prove as effective over this extra half-mile so preference is for PLINY. Donal Devereux' claim is also a positive for Peter Bowen's gelding, who has twice finished runner-up over longer trips this year. Elsafeer was second to Sagredo at Newton Abbot on his return from a lay-off and should strip fitter here while any market interest in the former Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained Reality Show would have to be taken seriously as he has infinitely more scope than his rivals if taking to hurdles.
