Verdict

A decent renewal of a race that’s produced some smart staying chasers in the past. Chepstow runner-up Clondaw Anchor demands the utmost respect and holds Golden Sunrise on the form book. The latter and Virginia Chick are old rivals and closely matched but both were well beaten at Exeter last month when Over To Sam was pulled up. Sam's Adventure has been threatening to get his head in front over fences and receives weight all round but Cloudy Glen has become expensive to follow and this free-going sort is probably better over shorter trips. Musical Slave is trying a new trip and was only third off this mark at Haydock but Looks Like Murt is interesting back over a more suitable distance. MIDNIGHT TUNE was given a positive ride by Aidan Coleman at Warwick and never looked like being caught. She’s only been raised 3lb and could take some catching again if allowed an easy lead.
