In depth

Verdict

Wild Is The Wind should be up to seeing off Elenas River and Mister Falcon. The former Jonjo O'Neill charge is not without quirks but he handles fast ground adequately enough and beat a useful sort in Brewster at Bangor last month. A repeat should suffice. Elenas River has ran well in small fields. The twelve-year-old hasn't won under rules for two years and is invariably vulnerable to anything progressive. Mister Falcon hasn't appeared under rules for quite some time. He has picked up his share between the flags and does at least act on the surface. Celestial Dragon was well punted at Exeter over a shorter trip. He looked as if needing a step up. Hades de Sienne can be anticipated to be up with the early pacesetters. Watch This Space and Springwood White look up against it on recent evidence. Wild Is The Wind has the best form on offer and will be priced accordingly.
