In depth

Verdict

Stage By Stage has to shoulder twelve stone five pounds here but looks up to the task, L'Orage Lady and What You Know may prove best of the remainder. Charlie Egerton's gelding goes from strength to strength having landed three competitive events and even with such a weight burden looks well treated against this poor opposition. L'Orage Lady ran well over the three mile trip here last time, she had every chance three out so should appreciate this drop in distance. What You Know could be best of the rest he was an impressive winner of a Ludlow classified event last Autumn and although well beaten in better company afterwards, should go well in the lesser event. The remainder of the field have plenty to prove, so it is with some degree of confidence that Stage By Stage is given the vote.
