In depth

Verdict

Ballymountain Boy won a handicap at Kempton in May but has a penalty to carry back in novice company. Whoshotwho was biting of more than he could chew at Newton Abbot at the start of the month but should do better in a race like this. He makes more appeal than Shining Romeo, who won twice on the Flat in the summer but has had his limitations exposed over timber since. Jockey bookings suggest RESILIENCY is the pick of Dan Skelton’s two runners and he’s sure to have been well schooled. He hasn’t raced since June last year but that shouldn’t be a problem and he stayed 1m6f on the Flat. Southwell third Golan Fortune and bumper winner Sword Of Fate may be best of the rest.
