Peter Bowen has done an excellent job to coax CYGNET back to form and the Dansili gelding still looks on a feasible mark of 112 having dropped down the ratings before the rediscovery of form. Indeed, he may well have quite a few pounds to work with if further progress is forthcoming and is taken to land the most competitive contest on the card. Midnight Oscar is running well but the handicapper refuses to relent whilst Taradrewe is another who needs to prove effectiveness off her new mark after two smooth spring successes. According To Sarah and Mont Royale are others of interest but the most fascinating contender is Jazz Man. He made the anticipated improvement on his first outing for the Dr Newland yard when scoring here but then blew out completely when a tailed-off last of four next time when odds-on. He races off a dangerous mark and needs keeping on the right side.
