In depth

Verdict

This is an intriguing handicap chase and top weight Cetti¿s Warbler is taken to follow up a course and distance success at the end of last season, with Meggie¿s Beau and Thyne Man the dangers. Thyne Man is consistent but is still a maiden in ten starts and hasn¿t been out for six months. He looks sure to run his race but will probably find one or two too good again. Meggie¿s Beau won a good race at Leicester last season although he was a bit lucky to do so. He can prove disappointing but clearly has ability and on his day he can be a formidable opponent. However, this is his seasonal debut and with enough question marks about him he is passed over. Cetti¿s Warbler went off an unconsidered 25-1 chance when taking a very good contest over the course and distance last season. His earlier form includes some notable efforts and he can make a winning seasonal bow.
