Verdict

A cracking handicap with five of the seven runners arriving off the back of recent victories. Hammersly Lake beat Princeton Royale at Cartmel but is now 4lb worse off. QUITE BY CHANCE didn’t win at Newton Abbot but this is a more suitable trip and he should now be approaching peak fitness so may be some value against hat-trick seekers Imperial Presence and Vosne Romanee, with the latter still having his stamina to prove over this trip. Voix D'Eau beat a subsequent winner at Worcester but has something to find with Imperial Presence and Newton Geronimo on earlier form.
