Barneys Reflection has won his last two starts in selling handicap hurdles but switches to chasing off a 10lb higher mark than for his latest success over timber and is probably best passed over in a race where Brigadier du Bois is preferred to Vigoureux. The last mentioned is gradually slipping back to a fair mark and has to be respected under conditions that suit ideally. Top weight Itsuptoharry is bred to be suited by this game but has given little sign of encouragement over hurdles and of more interest may be Alpha Image at the other end of the handicap, provided that he is not effected too much by his tumble last time. The Mighty Sparrow is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Brigadier du Bois. The stable of Lucy Wadham is on a high following the success of United at Punchestown earlier this week and the six-year-old has an obvious chance of providing his handler with another success on the evidence of recent placed efforts in similar company.
