Verdict

Godwit sprang a 25/1 surprise at Market Rasen last month but was then well beaten at Southwell. Thunder Sheik looks to have stronger claims having finally come good at Worcester but Wintered Well is respected after three solid runs in bumpers and Hit The Top has been placed three times in point-to-points. Jonjo O'Neill runs Day In the Sun and debutant Portofino Wasp but McCoy rides LYSSIO for Jim Best and he looks the one to beat on his defeat of a useful novice at Fakenham.
