Midnight Diamond got no further than the second fence on his recent return at Leicester and may be best watched on his first outing since then, with a safer bet looking to be Bobby Gee who gets the vote over Diarius. The last mentioned has shown a consistent level of form in all three starts this term and should again be thereabouts today. The Richard Phillips-trained Giovanna was in good form when last seen and has to be respected but she has not been seen since September 2006 and may be best watched on her reappearance. Go West is less exposed than most and could be of interest on his British debut but a safer option looks to be Bobby Gee, who has shown a consistent level of form and seems to be going the right way.
