Verdict

CHELTENIAN, who won the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in 2011, has had an interrupted career to date over hurdles but was caught right on the line at Doncaster in February after an even longer break before running in the Supreme Novices' and should outclass these. Fergal Mael Duin has been placed at Towcester and Stratford and should be in the frame again but Ortolan hasn't raced since 2010 and is likely to find this much too sharp. Sukiyaki and Whileaway look the pick of the remainder.
