Verdict

PRET A THOU hasn't run since scoring at Cartmel in May but loves soft ground and will take no prisoners here. He continues to boast an impressive strike rate and looks the one to beat with Harry Challoner claiming the 5lb. We may not yet have seen the best of the four-year-old Watt Broderick while Ironical usually runs his race and Taroum won at Huntingdon in August, though is probably high enough in the weights again now. Who's Jeff is still a maiden and may not be an ideal ride for an inexperienced jockey judged on his latest effort at Ludlow.
