Those with racecourse experience make limited appeal so it may pay to concentrate on the newcomers and narrow preference is for Spring Jim, who gets the vote over Eves Wood and Aperitif. The last mentioned, a son of Pivotal, is trained by William Haggas, who has his string in good form now and has to be respected. The daughter of Fleetwood, Eves Wood, makes less appeal than Spring Jim. A brother to the stable's useful Torosay Spring, James Fanshawe is capable of producing a first time out two-year-old winner and he may do so here. James Unett's Urban Rose was not beaten far on her Leicester debut but may have been flattered by that and of more interest among those to have raced could be Desert Beau, for who Darryll Holland is an eye-catching booking. With Sylvester Kirk's team in such good form right now, a market move for General Feeling should be noted but it is Spring Jim that gets the vote.
