In depth

Verdict

This sort of trip on fast ground is ideal for Bathwick Street, who is now on his highest ever mark after beating Silver Samba at Bath. He's still likely to want some beating though the concession of a stone to THUNDERING HOME may prove beyond him. He's been in winning form over hurdles during the winter and has to be of interest here off a very lowly mark. Dark Spirit has also been racing over timber and Paul Hanagan is an eye-catching booking but the main threat is likely to come from Shalambar, a winner over 1m4f at Kempton in February who followed up over hurdles here a fortnight later.
