Verdict

DOUBLE HANDFUL, a winner on the Flat in his native Germany, produced his best effort so far over hurdles when third at Huntingdon earlier in the month. This won't take much winning and he may well be good enough to defy top weight. Ouest Éclair has shown signs of ability and was second at Wetherby last month while Jeanry was in good form in the autumn but hasn't raced since finishing third over a longer trip here in November. Nouailhas may have needed his run at Doncaster earlier this month and Imperial Royale comes here off the back of a win at Wetherby but the four-year-olds Rare Symphony and Plus Ultra arguably have more scope.
