In depth

Verdict

Not a very good race here and narrow preference is for Vibe who has conditions to suit; Letalus may prove a danger first time up over fences. The selection tries the combination of cheek-pieces and a tongue tie as he bids to get off the mark at the fifth attempt over birch. His best recent run came behind Rowdy Yeats three starts back at Lingfield and he may never get a better chance of victory than this. However to say that he finds little for pressure would be generous and if he is in trouble some way from home, then it may be Letalus who takes advantage. Likely to be fit from a recent outing over hurdles which was full of promise, this ex-German runner should be respected as he aims to become a better chaser. All Sonsilver is very erratic but on his day he isn't bad, although who knows what mood he will turn up in. Arumun was well-held last time out but this race looks slightly easier, whilst Dune Raider is unexposed over fences and cannot be dismissed. A weak race, in which slight preference is for Vibe.
