Verdict

Former Grand National winner Mon Mome showed a glimmer of his old form when third at Wincanton last time and he's undoubtedly well handicapped nowadays. But he is now a 13-year-old and still giving weight to younger rivals. Pettifour isn't the force of old while Reblis was pulled up in the Sussex National last time, though was only beaten a neck over today's track and trip earlier. FLYING AWARD was aiming too high in a Grade 3 here last month but wasn't disgraced and has finished a good second at Wincanton since. Lucy Gardner knows how to the get the best out of the nine-year-old and he can get back to winning ways today with Present To You too high in the weights at present and Upham Atom much better on a faster surface.
