In depth

Verdict

SUGAR HICCUP has gone close on his last two starts and this is much less competitive. Clive Cox's filly has scope for improvement and can go one better. O Ma Lad won a maiden on the Polytrack at Lingfield recently and there may be more to come from him stepping up in distance, while Noble Defender had looked to be going the right way before a poor effort at Sandown last time. The same comment applies to Spanish Plume, but Imperial Fong and Sally Anne look up against it.
