The Mighty Sparrow is selected in preference to Romany Dream and Bearaway. There appeared to be valid excuses for Alan Jones' veteran when beaten at Wincanton last time out but if the rain has stayed away, he could be a value alternative to the favourites. He may have had to wait until twelve years of age to win his first chase but his jumping is very much his strong point and if he takes to Warwick, he can profit at others expense. Romany Dream has winning form round Warwick during her bumper years but is dropped significantly in trip. She always seems to run well without winning. Bearaway has been badly out of sorts for a while and is one who needs to jump everything foot perfect. He should be more at home over this trip but backers have often seen him travel well prior to seeing him turn it in after making one minor error. Wild Power has made all his headlines for the wrong reasons. He is watched today. Saorsie appears to show his best on fast ground whilst Amadeus is still well in versus his hurdles mark. The Mighty Sparrow gets our vote.
