Verdict

It will be interesting to see how Howard Johnson's point-to-point winner Glencree performs on his rules debut but he is probably best watched first time out and a safer bet looks to be BILLIE MAGERN from the in-form stable of Nigel Twiston-Davies, who gets the vote with Horsham Lad rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed promise in both starts in bumpers but has progressed since being put over hurdles, being placed in both starts, and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account here. Micky Hammond's Motafarred was capable on the level and made a pleasing debut over timber when finding just Night Force too good here last month; he has to be respected and makes more appeal than Sea Storm, who was well held at Perth last time. Irish raider Unforgettable would have claims if able to run up to the sort of form that he showed when winning at Wexford but he has disappointed since then and of more interest may be Horsham Lad, who made a pleasing debut in a Hereford bumper in February and has his first start since then today. Nigel Twiston-Davies continues to churn out plenty of winners though and he is taken to gain another race here with Billie Magern.
