      Verdict

Mr Midaz, Safe Investment and Gracialina are three against the field in a competitive handicap and the tentative nomination is given to Mr Midaz. The selection was a fair second behind Carrietau last time out, form that has since been franked and off what remains a fair mark, and with the faster ground sure to bring about improvement, he looks the one to be on. Safe Investment rates the main danger on his latest second behind Blushing Hilary but that was ion a seller and this looks tougher so he is taken on with this in mind. Gracialina won well last time out when beating Red O'Donnell over course and distance but that to was in a seller and he will need to improve again to win off this higher mark. High Country is dropping to a handy mark and the booking of Grahame Lee catches the eye, while I'll Do It Today has everything in his favour today and could go well at a price but for the winner we are happy to return to Mr Midaz.
