In depth

Verdict

A trappy contest gets proceedings underway and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Ashwell, Odd Socks and Pales with the vote going to Ashwell. The selection was pulled up last time out but prior to that he was a fair second behind Middleton Dean that form looks solid and under conditions that suit he looks the one to be on. Odd Socks looks Howard Johnson's first string on jockey bookings and he should be watched in the market. Pales was a fair sort in his native Germany and hails from a yard in top form so he is another to note in the market. Coe was a fair third behind Ballamorey Dan last time and looks sure to be suited by this longer trip. Of the remainder Mirage Dore was second behind Cah Man last time and is another with place claims but for the winner we return to Ashwell.
