Verdict

ROSES may well turn out to be another useful bumper performer from the Swinbank production line but may not need to be out of the ordinary to win here. Fleet Lea and Action Girl may be able to improve on their debuts but the market may shed some light on the finale. Alan Swinbank has a formidable record in bumpers and it would be no great surprise were Roses good enough to land this contest on debut. She's related to a winner on the Flat and a winner over hurdles and is the obvious starting point. Action Girl and Fleet Lea's debuts were not without promise and they may be able to take closer order with the same also true of Slick Mover and Tara's Attraction. Other newcomers to note include Border Flora and Can't Remember but we'll nominate Roses.
