In depth

Verdict

SHADOWS LENGTHEN has a fine record around here and produced another excellent run when a close third in a Listed handicap last month. He's on the same mark here and a repeat performance would see him difficult to beat. Wells De Lune made all for a comfortable victory at Warwick then continually jumped to the left when beaten at Carlisle. Back on a left-handed track he should do very much better. Indian Voyage has won twice around here but generally prefers some cut in the ground so if the going eases he can go well with his young rider's claim a bonus. Notnowsam finished runner-up in a similar handicap to this a year ago but hasn't made the expected progress and is 12lb higher than his last victory.
