Verdict

Top-weight STAR BEAT is selected to win this for the Keith Reveley stable; the main dangers could turn out to be Rimsky Korsakov, Cute N You Know It while Guns And Butter is a classy sort who if fit could get involved. Star Beat should strip much fitter for today having made a pleasing seasonal debut at this venue two weeks ago. Back up to three miles here will be in his favour and he can give weight and a beating to his rivals here. Rimsky Korsakov scored here earlier in the summer. He faced impossible tasks in flat maidens over ten furlongs which could well be considered pipeopeners. Cute N You Know It returns after his summer break here. He showed good battling qualities to win a lady riders' contest at this venue last May before disappointing. He has shown that he requires a couple of outings to get fit in the past though. Downing Street is another to consider but he is rather inconsistent and Star Beat is looks a more solid alternative.
