Verdict

Midnight Charmer won a couple of lesser grade handicaps last month and is upped another 8lb for this. Tresor De L'Isle's recent victory at Ayr looks stronger form and he should be thereabouts once again, but BADGER FOOT may be the one to side with. The latter showed the benefit for a slide down the weights when beaten only three lengths at Hexham last time and a winner has already come out of the race. Lucinda Russell's charge gets the vote with Spitfire Ace looking best of the rest on his earlier fourth at Hexham.
