In depth

Verdict

BORDER REIVER won over C&D in January but has been well beaten in three starts over different trips since. The return to these fences off only a 2lb higher mark can see Tim Easterby's charge get his head back in front. Ponchatrain has been placed twice since scoring at Lingfield in November and looks capable of picking up a race off his current mark, while Authentic Act may do better over today's longer trip. Archie's Wish has been placed over these fences and makes more appeal than Ginger's Lad and Ravenscar.
