Verdict

Stuart Crawford's runners in the UK are always difficult to beat and, after landing a Navan Grade 2 bumper, Fine Rightly made a successful hurdling debut over the minimum trip at Ayr. He undoubtedly came up against a useful performer when runner-up to Layla Joan over 2m6f on the Scottish track last time and will be fancied to return to winning ways. However, TEMPLEBRADEN could just have his measure as relished the very heavy going at Southwell when creating something of a surprise and there looks much more to come from him. Ballythomas had run well at Catterick on New Year's Day so better was expected at Fakenham on his next start but he blundered his way around and was well beaten. Mistariva looked in need of a much stiffer test than he got in a Towcester bumper on his debut and he should get that here but Secure Investment has shown nothing so far.
