Verdict

Judge Earl made all to land a Sedgefield bumper in May and should be ready for his hurdling debut but Hello Bertie was a bit disappointing on his hurdling bow when beaten a long way into second at Perth. Atlantic Grey looked one to follow when a close second in a bumper at Bangor but ran poorly on his next start at Warwick in April. BARTON KNOLL showed nothing in bumpers but it's been a different matter over hurdles where he's run two fine race and would have gone close at Towcester last time but for a mistake at the last. He gets the vote though Royal Escape looked as though he would be capable of better at Uttoxeter last month.
