In depth

Verdict

Snow's Ride, Super Boston and Ungaro are three against the field in this wide open maiden hurdle and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection looks well-weighted on his bumper form and although he took a heavy fall over hurdles last time he would have a leading chance if his confidence has not been affected. Super Boston put up an improved effort last time at Catterick when he got nailed close home before finishing third behind Flemming. The step-up in trip should suit but his best form has been with plenty of cut in the ground and on that basis we will take him on. Snow's Ride was a fair sort on the flat but he was a little disappointing in a bumper recently and he is probably best watched on his hurdling debut. Drumbeater has shown very little on his four runs to date but he hails from a top yard so is worth noting in the market. However, Ungaro is a likeable type and he is given the vote.
