Multellie has won seven times on the Flat, including at Hamilton in September, and was having only his second start over timber when scooting up at Carlisle so there's more to come. But PROSCHEMA (NAP), rated 102 on the Flat, put his debut experience to good use when scoring here earlier this month and, though fortunate to be left clear when Thebannerkingrebel fell at the last, the form was given a massive boost when the latter won a Listed race at Haydock on Saturday. Dual bumper winner Ribble Valley loved the heavy ground at Hexham and though he had little to beat it was a very taking performance. Sir Valentine was having his first race since May 2017 when falling at Chepstow last month but it didn't affect him as he was impressive at Newbury next time and looks the type to go on to better things. Ilaya has been disappointing since arriving from France though her best run came in a course and distance handicap.
