Dual Flat winner Dare To Flare made a very promising debut over timber behind a couple of decent older horses at Tramore and has to be of interest. Hammersmith has been highly tried since a close second at Fairyhouse in January, though finished last on his reappearance at Ballinrobe last month. ISOTOPE landed a 1m2f Roscommon handicap in July before impeded and unseating his rider 2 out at Gowran. He wouldn't have won that day but it was a strong maiden and compensation awaits. Bear Claws, who finished a long way back in third in the latter event, then went on to beat Malbas over four lengths at Tramore so the latter looks held and Crackaway was beaten a long way into third at Tipperary, though that was over 2m4f.
