In depth

Verdict

MONAHULLAN PRINCE was beaten 11 lengths when runner-up to Noras Fancy at Clonmel on Thursday but the winner had won her previous race by 22 lengths which puts the run in a better light and he can go one better from the same mark. Tequila Lord, who was having his first start since April that day, did well to finish fifth and can get closer to the selection. Mount Welcome's only career victory was over this C&D in 2009 but he's been showing signs of a revival and is back on that winning mark. Would You Do That alternates between hurdles and fences and ran quite well on his reappearance over timber at Fairyhouse so also goes on the short-list.
