In depth

Verdict

A tricky finale with a sprinkling of unexposed sorts taking on more established performers. Gtaab and Al Amaan enter the first category and should be at home in this sort of handicap company. The latter is preferred of the two and could be good enough but MAGIC PROSPECT gets a narrow vote. Charlie Mann's charge has yet to reproduce his flat form over timber and whilst his progression is gradual rather than dramatic, he does give the impression he has more to offer. Mayberry has found things difficult since landing her maiden hurdle last year but her latest fourth behind Blue Nymph in a decent Doncaster handicap was a bit more like it.
