Bolt Action bolted up in a Chepstow novices' hurdle at Chepstow but the handicapper has reacted accordingly. However, he still has to be considered. Bak To Bill won well over course and distance in March last year from a mark of 90 (now 107). Tosawi is 9lbs higher than for his Taunton win. Rosarian has to be considered as he is improving all the time and Barry Geraghty has been booked to ride. Ososhot won this race last year from a mark of 97 (now 105) and should be sharper for his seasonal return. Irish import Traditional is on a three-timer. His last win in Ireland was from a mark of 90 (102 here), but he's a lazy horse and might keep a bit back for himself. The lightly raced Supremely Red came good in a maiden hurdle in a first-time visor last time, but has now changed stables. Kedge Anchor Man is usually competitive at this level but is eight pounds higher than for his last win (in February of last year) and is weighted to turn the tables on Tosawi on their Exeter runs of 12 months ago. Got News For You is now dropping in the weights after his initial handicap assessment. Lorgnette is now back to a winning mark and is a course and distance winner. Coastguard has been chasing but is not badly handicapped for a return to hurdling (has won from 94, now 97). Diletia scored twice in October from a mark of 93 (now 96 less rider's claim). Sunshine Boy has an absence to overcome. Taillefer arrived from France with promise but has lost his way now, while Champagne Lil has not progressed from her bumper win of 2001. As a selection- with her trainer having such a good record at the venue - Lorgnette is taken as the selection.
