The ex-French Turko has done little wrong since joining the stable of Paul Nicholls and has to be respected on ground that should suit ideally but preference is for Pablo Du Charmil with Vinando rated the best of the remainder. Having won twice over hurdles in France the selection has a double penalty to carry and has to give weight away all round but Martin Pipes gelding lost no caste in defeat behind the useful Its My Dream on his British debut and, with the stable's horses tending to run well following a break, there is every reason to believe that there may be a lot more to come from the five-year-old. Amour Multiple, another ex-French trained runner, needs to improve on all known form to trouble the selection and of more interest may be Alan King's New Zealand bred Barjou who may be a good deal better than he has shown so far over hurdles. Leo's Luckyman was useful on his day on the level and is another to consider but a bigger danger is likely to come from Vinando. Charlie Egerton's gelding has shown promise in all three starts over timber and receives weight from his main rivals but Pablo Du Charmil looks potentially useful and he is taken to give weight away all round.
