Verdict

Master Mahogany may well appreciate this return to hurdling but he hasn't torn up any trees on the Flat of late and may be best watched today with preference for FREEDOM FIRE. Gary Moore's charge loves fast ground and has been consistent throughout a summer campaign that saw him pick up wins at Huntingdon and Hereford. He is 6lb higher than the latter today but should remain very competitive. Top weight Amazing King enjoyed a drop in class at Wetherby time but could not see his effort out to the line and has gone up 7lb as a result of the front pair being clear. That makes his job very tough today, but he will act on the going. Superius is going the right way on the evidence of his Huntingdon spin, while Robain could go well for an in-form yard but has to prove himself on ground this quick.
