In depth

Verdict

Not a strong race which looks set to provide local trainer Paul Nicholls with another winner. Blue Ride, the winner of a Ludlow Bumper will stay further in time, but this looks as though it will take little wining and she should prove too strong for her rivals. Village Queen was some was behind the selection when making her debut at Taunton and while she is open to improvement, she should again be held. Sherngold and Clingstone may fight out the minor honours.
