In depth

Verdict

Course and distance winner, Fly More, comes here in good heart and can follow up his narrow Goodwood win. He's been raised four pounds for that win but his rider takes off seven pounds. That said, with 20 runners in this five-furlong event, it is very competitive and a number of horses come here with chances. These include Sir Sandrovitch, Swynford Welcome and American Cousin, who are all back on winning marks, and prolific Swedish winner New Option, now with Willie Musson. Of the others, Whistler, even off top weight, will have his supporters, while Lively Lady showed some promise on her last run but it's a long time since she won. Although she has yet to win a race, the quirky Coffee Time has gone close on numerous occasions and Kieren Fallon, a master on these types, has been booked to ride.
