    Verdict

KODIAC EXPRESS scored over course and distance with Grandfather Tom well beaten before going in again at Nottingham. She beat the re-opposing Puds last time and is fancied to confirm superiority, despite the worse terms. May Remain has also won at Nottingham this year but should have done better at Wolverhampton last time while though Prince Ahwahnee was successful over 6f on the all-weather at Lingfield last month he failed to figure off a higher mark at Leicester last time.

May Remain 7-2 (9-9) Held up towards rear, ridden and headway over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong, never dangerous, 4th of 9, 4l behind Big Time Maybe (9-2) at Wolverhampton 5f (4) pol in Oct.

Puds 9-4fav (9-7) Hampered start, in touch, headway over 1f out, chased winner entering final furlong, kept on well, 2nd of 6, 1/2l behind Kodiac Express (8-13) at Nottingham 5f hcp fll (4) gf in Jun.
