This is not as competitive a race as it first looked and Goodwood Starlight is a confident selection to beat Dancing Marabout and Golden Penny. John Dunlop's colt landed a Salisbury maiden in good style, before dead-heating in a very competitive nursery at his namesake track. He hung badly during that race probably due to greenness and we expect there to be plenty more improvement to come. Dancing Marabout hit winning form at the fourth attempt when landing a Wolverhampton nursery in good style. The handicapper hasn't been too harsh and another big run is expected. Hughie Morrison always has to be respected in this type of event and Golden Penny shoed improved form last time out and could be vying for some place money today. The best of the rest could be Her Name Is Rio, but Goodwood Starlight has more scope for improvement than most of these and he gets our vote.
