Where's Susie has never won off a mark this high and Langley faces a stiff task under top weight. Goldtrek ran up a hat-trick last summer but was well beaten in this grade at Salisbury and Epsom on her final two starts last year. Layla's Dancer's only recent win came in a claimer, but stablemate Shalambar could be interesting coming off the back of a successful campaign over hurdles and Mons Calpe will strip fitter for a comeback run at Beverley. It took LODEN six attempts to get off the mark but Luca Cumani's gelding won with a fair bit in hand at Kempton in October and may well be capable of further improvement this season.
