Verdict

Steps made a promising reappearance at Goodwood and built on that when successful at Thirsk. But both of those races were over 5f and he's proved vulnerable over this trip in the past. Piscean has only been raised a couple of pounds for a recent win at Goodwood but will find this a stiffer test while Poole Harbour is 5lb higher than when just beaten at Newbury and prefers a faster surface. DUNGANNON was the subject of a gamble at York but got taken off his feet over that fast 5f. This should be more to his liking and he's handicapped to win if back to his best. Joe Packet is a bit of enigma but also has the ability to figure and makes more appeal than Harrison George, who looks to be on a downward spiral.
