In depth

Verdict

Saeed bin Suroor had a number of entries for this contest but relies on Lama Albarq who is taken to beat Jack The Giant and Pitch Up. The Godolphin juveniles are in top form this season and this son of Nureyev cost 420 thousand euros as a yearling and is related to numerous top class horses in America. The experienced runners here don't look too strong so Lama Albarq may have most to fear from another newcomer Jack The Giant. The Barry Hills trained colt is the subject of encouraging reports from the gallops and this son of Giants Causeway, who is related to numerous winners, should be watched very carefully in the betting market. Pitch Up could be the best of the experienced runners having finished well to take third behind the smart Spree at Sandown last month. The betting should be very informative here, but Lama Albarq is one to keep on the right side, no matter what the price.
